Arrive in Muscat. You will be met on arrival by our representative, and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Morning, you will be met at the hotel for a half day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, exhibiting the wealth of Oman’s history and thus imparting knowledge about the country’s rich culture and traditions to the visitor. Later you drive along the picturesque Corniche to the once walled district of Muscat. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Later, you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you can bargain for handicrafts and silver items. Overnight at the hotel in Muscat.

Your first destination today is Wadi Bani Khalid, an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman and its pools with clear deep blue water give you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip. The afternoon is reserved for your desert experience. You will drive into Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating sea of red and white sand. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. After some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all, you will have a picnic lunch. Later in the evening drive back to Muscat.

Embark on a fiber boat for a cruise along the Muscat coast to watch wild dolphins. Watching wild dolphins is a thrilling way to start the day, and the lucky may even come across one of the many species of whales that can be found just a few kilometers from Muscat’s rugged coast. Not every trip guarantees a sighting, but you are sure to enjoy this cruise out at sea, and enhance your knowledge about nature’s most fascinating marine life. Soft drinks and water will be served on board. Rest of the day is at leisure.
